All tests, both inpatient and outpatient, are by appointment only.

The Pulmonary Physiology Laboratory is committed to providing comprehensive, state of the art diagnostic testing to all patients over the age of thirteen with known or suspected pulmonary disease.

A variety of tests are performed to assess and diagnose pulmonary disease. These tests include but are not limited to:

  • Spirometry pre- and post- bronchodilator
  • Methacholine challenge testing
  • Static lung volumes
  • Rest and exercise oximetry
  • Home oxygen testing
  • Nocturnal oxygen testing
  • Pulmonary stress testing (hospital only)
  • Metabolic testing (hospital only)
  • Diffusing capacity
  • Arterial blood gases
  • Pentamidine treatments

The Pulmonary Physiology Laboratory is registered by the American Thoracic Society and adheres to their standards.
 
The lab is staffed by credentialed registered pulmonary function technologists, certified pulmonary function technologists, and registered respiratory therapists; diagnostic interpretations are read by board certified pulmonologists.

About the provider search

This search will provide you with WellSpan Medical Group and Northern Lancaster County (Ephrata) Medical Group primary care physicians and specialists. If we don’t have a WellSpan Medical Group physician to meet your criteria, the search will expand to include community physicians who partner with WellSpan Medical Group physicians through the WellSpan Provider Network or provide care to patients on the Medical Staffs of WellSpan’s Hospitals.
