Learn how to Manage and Live with Diabetes

WellSpan Health’s Diabetes Education Program is committed to providing high quality, comprehensive diabetes education to patients, their families, healthcare professionals and the community in general. Our program offers individuals the knowledge, empowerment and inspiration to overcome the barriers to behavioral change and achieve optimal health. Our educators and staff work as your partner throughout the process walking with you through every step of the way.

The Diabetes Education Program is taught by Certified Diabetes Educators® (CDE). CDE’s are licensed health care professionals with comprehensive knowledge and experience in diabetes education and management. Our certified educators support patients in the understanding and management of their diabetes. CDEs meet the requirements set by the National Certification Board and has become the standard of excellence for quality diabetes education.

A referral from your provider is necessary for the program. Reimbursement varies with each company and you should check with your plan about coverage. For a program schedule with dates or to learn more, please contact your local branch.

The WellSpan Health Diabetes Education Program offers a comprehensive series of up to seven visits. The program also offers yearly review. For more details, contact your local program.
