Joint Health

For many, arthritis seems to be an inevitable part of the aging process.  Arthritis includes a variety of inflammatory joint diseases such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.  The inflammation, whether it is a result of a disease, infection or genetic defect, causes pain stiffness and swelling in the joints and surrounding tissues.

WellSpan offers several resources for individuals struggling with the pain of diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

  • WellSpan Rheumatology
  • Gettysburg Hospital Rehab Arthritis Wellness Program: Offered at our Herr's Ridge location, this program helps people with arthritis learn joint protection techniques and therapeutic exercises to decrease pain and increase flexibility.
