Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I wanted to combine my love of biology with human interaction. I enjoy getting to know new people, and the thought of sitting at a computer all day or in a lab terrified me. I always admired people who worked in health care for their dedication and compassion to help people and aspired to do the same.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I truly want my patients to feel like they are being heard. I spend time trying to explain disease processes and options because I want patients to feel empowered and take an active part in their healthcare.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I love spending time with my family and traveling. Swimming, sailing, skiing and long runs with my dog and son are some of my favorite activities. Really, doing anything outside puts a smile on my face.
