Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I chose to pursue a career in medicine because I enjoy helping people. My grandmother was a nurse at Planned Parenthood, and I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I realized women's health was my passion early in my career. I have a thirst for knowledge, so I knew nursing school was not the last step on my educational journey. I have held many roles in health care; I have been a nursing assistant, nurse intern, registered nurse, and a nurse practitioner. Each role has molded me into the provider I am today, and I can truly say nursing is the most rewarding career imaginable.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My goal is to care for women during all stages of their life. I strive to make great relationships with my patients. I want us to have open and honest communication, as communication is essential in health care. This is a judgment-free zone. I know gynecologic exams are not always the most enjoyable, but I will attempt to make you feel comfortable. I make time to listen to my patients, and I will aim to provide you the best care possible. I feel as though you and I are a team in your healthcare journey, and I will include you in the decision-making process every step of the way.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I am not at work, I am spending time with my husband, friends, and family. I am lucky to have so many great people in my life. I also have a mini-labradoodle named Luna. I love the beach and try to visit Ocean City, MD on a yearly basis. My favorite vacation of all time was to Grenada for my honeymoon! It is so beautiful there. I am a movie fanatic, and I especially like going to the movie theater. Fun Fact: I am a local girl! I was born and raised in York, PA, and I am very happy to be working in this community as it is near and dear to my heart.
