  • Allied Health

    If you have an interest in science, and are motivated to take the next step into an expanding career market, a program in Allied Health is the perfect opportunity to get you on the right path.

  • Physical Therapy

    Physical therapists work with patients who have limited mobility to help them gain or regain the ability to use parts of their bodies. Patients can include accident victims and those dealing with disabling conditions, including low-back pain, cerebral palsey, heart disease and more.

    Requirements for physical therapists include graduating from an accredited program with a master's or doctoral degree. Physical therapists must also pass national and state licensing exams, and often they are required to take continuing education classes.

    Average starting salary is approximately $59,000 per year.

  • Occupational Therapy

    Occupational therapists work with patients to help them improve their ability to perform tasks required in every day living and working environments. Patients may have a mentally, physically, developmentally or emotionally disabling condition. The goal of occupational therapy is to help the patients live independent and satisfying lives.

    Requirements for occupational therapists include graduating from an accredited program with a master's or doctoral degree. Occupational therapists must also pass a national certification exam in order to become licensed. Those who pass the exam are awarded the title "Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR)." Continuing education classes are often required.

    Average starting salary is approximately $53,000 per year.

  • Speech Therapy

    Speech therapists also known as speech-language pathologists work with patients who have difficulty making speech sounds or who cannot make them clearly. Patients may stutter, have fluency and rhythm problems, speech quality problems or other issues that make it difficult for them to speak. Speech therapists also work with patients who have swallowing difficulties.

    Requirements for speech therapists include graduating from an accredited program with a master's degree and completing the required number of hours of supervised clinical experience. Most states require speech therapists to pass a national exam and become licensed.

    Average starting salary is approximately $54,000 per year.

If we don’t have a WellSpan Medical Group physician to meet your criteria, the search will expand to include community physicians who partner with WellSpan Medical Group physicians through the WellSpan Provider Network or provide care to patients on the Medical Staffs of WellSpan’s Hospitals.
