Wednesday, September 19, 2018

WellSpan teams raised more than $5,500 in the recent Lancaster Heart Walk.

About 90 WellSpan employees helped to raise the money for the annual American Heart Association event, which supports heart disease and stroke research, prevention and education.

Carrie Willetts, WellSpan senior vice president of WellSpan Health and president of WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, was the chairman of the Lancaster walk. WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital also was a sponsor of the event.

WellSpan is leading and sponsoring the Heart Walks in the communities where it is located. Staff members also are volunteering to walk and raise money for the cause.

Tom Harlow, senior vice president of WellSpan Health and president of WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, is chairman of the Lebanon Heart Walk. Jane Hyde, senior vice president of WellSpan Health and president of WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, is the chairman of the Adams County Heart Walk.
