The number of patients waiting represents patients that have checked in at the urgent care facility, but have not yet seen a provider. It is both patients in the waiting area and patients in a treatment room that have not yet started their visit.

What is vestibular rehabilitation therapy?

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy is a type of physical therapy. Vestibular rehabilitation therapy uses special exercises including visual, head and balance exercises to retrain the vestibular system to restore normal function.

How is the center different than regular physical therapy offices?

The WellSpan Health Center for Dizziness and Balance Disorders differs from traditional physical therapy services because we focus only on patients with vestibular disorders. This allows us to provide advanced diagnostics and customized treatment for conditions ranging from simple positional type vertigo to complex vestibular conditions that have not been resolved by other medical treatment.
