The number of patients waiting represents patients that have checked in at the urgent care facility, but have not yet seen a provider. It is both patients in the waiting area and patients in a treatment room that have not yet started their visit.

The skilled professionals at the WellSpan York Hospital Sleep Center diagnose and evaluate people with sleep disorders to improve their quality of life. The facility features the latest technology for the diagnosis and treatment of a range of neurological and respiratory sleep disorders. The Sleep Center has homelike diagnostic suites, equipped with a television and VCR, a comfortable bed and a bathroom with shower. The WellSpan York Hospital Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Each evaluation consists of placing small electrodes on the surface of the scalp, face and legs for recording of sleep patterns. This is completely safe and painless. Patients are cared for and evaluated by highly trained polysomnographic technologists who monitor airflow, body movements, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation.
