Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I’ve always had a strong interest in math and science, and am particularly fascinated by the intricacies of the musculoskeletal system. For this reason, I started on a path in medicine with a goal of becoming a physical therapist. In college my interests shifted gears, and I changed majors to pre-medicine. This interest, coupled with my love of sports, has led me to a personal perfect fit with a career in sports medicine.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My goal is to connect with my patients and determine a plan together to help them live life to the fullest. For some that means getting back on the playing field, for some that means getting back to yard work, for some that means being able to sleep comfortably…these patient goals are all equally important to me.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
A priority for me is spending time with my wonderful wife and two kids. I enjoy watching my children’s activities, helping coach baseball, playing board games and family movie nights. We also enjoy outdoor activities together, especially going for hikes in the fall. Otherwise, I enjoy mountain biking and any exercise that keeps me active. Lastly, during the football season, you can find me cheering on the Nittany Lions.
