As crews continue to demolish the foundations of the Ketterman Building and South Hall, rubble piles grow higher.
The work to remove these building foundations is expected to last through the week of Jan. 22.
Starting that week, additional activity will begin including:
- Relocation of the Irving Road water main, which will impact Irving Road traffic flow. This work is expected to be completed by the end of February.
- Demolition of the retaining wall adjacent to the Century Building. This work is expected to be completed by the end of March.
- Installation of piles around the perimeter of the construction site using a drill rig to support site excavation. This work is expected to be completed by the end of April.
Periods of elevated noise are expected throughout the duration of these activities. Construction of this nature isn’t necessarily quiet or visually appealing, but it is the sight and sound of progress.
