Meet our first babies of 2025!

Our labor and delivery teams welcomed the first babies born in our hospitals on New Year’s Day.

At WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital in Franklin County, Cash Levi Burkholder was born at 12:51 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 22.5 inches long. He is the son of Amber and Randy Burkholder of Chambersburg.

At WellSpan York Hospital, Kayden Castro Santana was born at 6:39 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 5.1 ounces, and was 19.9 inches long. He is the son of Suleldy de Castro of York and Luwddy Castro Gonzalez.

At WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital, Violet Holmes was born at 8:52 p.m. She is the daughter of Sabrina and Dylan Holmes of Shamokin Dam. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

At WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, the first baby born waited until Jan. 3 to make his arrival. William Joseph Aiden Bollinger was born at 2:10 a.m. He is the son of Samantha and Zachary Bollinger of Chambersburg. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

WellSpan has six labor and delivery units across nine hospitals in our region, including WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital, WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital (Lewisburg), WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital (in Lebanon) and WellSpan York Hospital.
