Our steps to diagnosing lymphedema

If you notice swelling, especially in one limb, talk to your cancer care team right away. Your doctor will review your medical and treatment history and perform a physical exam. They may also order imaging tests, such as an ultrasound or a lymphoscintigraphy, to get a detailed view of your lymphatic system and identify any blockages.
