Dr. Gillis is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Gillis then completed a sports medicine fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, where he assisted in the care of the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Nationals. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Surgery at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, Medical Director for WellSpan Rehabilitation in Adams County and Site Director for WellSpan Orthopedics – Gettysburg.
Hobbies: Spending time with family and two Newfoundland dogs, watching Baltimore Orioles baseball and University of Tennessee football, playing golf, reading and visiting national parks
