We're excited by your interest in our programs for medical school students. Please review the additional details below about our rotations and application process. The application form is provided below for you to complete and submit.
You must be a medical student attending an accredited medical school in the U.S. to be considered for a rotation or externship.
This application form should be completed for all medical student programs, except for the Students Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) Externship program, which has a separate form.
Applications for elective clinical rotations only:
- Academic Affairs will accept rotation requests for the upcoming academic year (July-June) on January 1st; requests submitted prior to this date will not be kept on file.
- Rotations are 4-week duration (Monday start). We do not offer 2-week or split rotations, observerships or shadowing.
Rotation requests and cancellations: please provide our Academic Affairs team with notice of a minimum of eight weeks before your start date.
We use a standard version of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Uniform Clinical Training Affiliation Agreement personalized for WellSpan Health. If you aren’t a student at Drexel University College of Medicine, or Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, your medical school will need to use the WellSpan agreement.
