The WellSpan Health Institutional Review Board (IRB) is charged with protecting the rights and safety of potential research subjects.
Our IRB reviews all studies involving human participants to ensure they uphold ethical principles and comply with WellSpan’s organizational policies and local, state and federal laws.
To ensure the protection of the rights, privacy and welfare of all research participants, the IRB has the authority to review, approve, modify or disapprove research protocols submitted by faculty, staff and student investigators within WellSpan Health.
