Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

From my earliest years, I have had a fascination with how the human body works for us over a lifetime. As I learned of the disease states that could affect the human body, and so dramatically affect human lives, my interest in working to alleviate the impact of these diseases grew. My desire to pursue medicine was cemented as I saw real-life examples of people around me dealing with illness. While in high school and college, I sought out opportunities to volunteer in medical settings and shadow physicians, which led to my decision to apply to medical school.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am a specialist in cardiology and congestive heart failure. I make it a point to thoroughly review the medical records and history of new patients before I step in the room. I respect patients and their families for taking the time and effort to come to their appointments, and work hard so that these visits are informative and provide a clear plan of care. It is important to me that they come away with a sense of confidence and hope that our team can help.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

My time outside of work is spent thoroughly enjoying the company of my spouse and the entertainment provided by our three children. Other interests include reading and swimming.
