Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have worked in the Neonatal ICU for over 10 years now and have never wanted to go elsewhere. Neonates are my passion, and I knew I wanted to further my education to help improve the outcomes of preterm and sick infants. Witnessing the miracles that happen in the NICU everyday is truly a blessing.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am married to a farmer and am a mom of two beautiful girls. I also am a huge dog lover and have too many boxers than I want to admit to. When I was an infant, I had a congenital heart defect that was repaired at Johns Hopkins, so I too was a NICU patient.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I live on a farm and love to be outdoors. I enjoy helping on the farm, exploring nature with my kids and getting exercise. Spending time with my kids is ultimately my favorite.
