Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

When I was a child, I had an experience with nurses at WellSpan York Hospital and I never forgot what they did for me. I love helping people and being a nurse is a great way to do that and to make a difference in someone's life. As a nurse practitioner, I'm able to provide my patients with advanced care while still providing the same compassion and empathy I gave as a nurse. I've been blessed to be able to do something that I love every day and to share it with my patients.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I believe everyone comes into your life for a reason. I want my patients to know that I will listen to them and be their biggest advocate! My dream was always to be a nurse practitioner and I get to live that life every day. I truly love my job and helping my patients navigate through any difficult journeys they may be experiencing. We have so many great resources and I believe that we must use them all to help our patients succeed.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my husband, Will, and our four-legged child, Maggie, a chocolate lab. On my weekends during football season you'll usually find me watching Penn State (We Are!) or the Pittsburgh Steelers. If a game is not on then it's usually Harry Potter or HGTV, if I'm not outside exploring somewhere new!
