Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I started my career in healthcare fifteen years ago when I graduated from nursing school. I chose nursing because it combines my fascination with the science of medicine and my desire to care for patients.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Throughout my career as a nurse, I have worked with patients of all ages and in many different areas of the hospital. I spent five years of my nursing career working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. My favorite population to work with as both a bedside nurse and a nurse practitioner is pediatrics; specifically premature and newborn infants.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, shopping and traveling. My favorite places to travel always include sun and sand. I am married and have a blended family with five children and three grandchildren.
