Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

I lost my father at a young age, and my two brothers and I were raised by our incredibly strong single mother. Growing up with limited access to healthcare, I remember being afraid whenever someone became sick. I saw firsthand how important physicians can be to families and communities, which inspired me to work hard toward becoming a physician myself.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, caring for elderly neighbors led to unexpected lifelong friendships and reinforced what I value most about medicine: being there for people when they need it most. This ultimately drew me to primary care.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

Being a family physician is so much more to me than a career; it is my passion. Building meaningful relationships with my patients and their families brings genuine joy and purpose to my work. I strive to get to know each patient on a personal level so I can understand their unique goals, values and priorities.

My goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, respected and valued. It is a true privilege to partner with patients and families through every stage of life, from welcoming newborns to navigating complex chronic conditions as we age. I believe in taking a comprehensive approach to health, giving equal dedication to preventive care, physical wellness, lifestyle habits and mental health.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

When I am not seeing patients, I love spending time with my wife, family and friends. We enjoy taking road trips to explore everything from small towns and vibrant cities to the wilderness, and we rarely miss a chance to chase a sunrise or sunset. I am also passionate about food and love spending time in the kitchen working on my cooking skills.
