Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse. When I was a little girl, I use to dress up my cat and pretend he was sick. I grew up watching my grandmother care for both her mother, and then her sister. I was taught from a very young age to help others around me and to be compassionate.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I started off my nursing career as an LPN, then I went back to school to became an RN in 2000. I have worked in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU. I was a travel nurse for a couple of years working in Hawaii. When I came back home I was inspired by several colleagues to become a nurse practitioner. I went to UMBC for my BSN and then completed my Women's Health Nurse Practitioner training through Thomas Jefferson University in 2013. I have been working for WellSpan since then. I do what I do, because I enjoy caring for women. Women are the heart of caring for our families.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When I am not seeing patients, I am an everyday mom. I have four children. I love watching them play soccer, lacrosse, and swim. I have a small farmette with two horses, two barn cats, two rabbits, and two dogs. I enjoy taking the dogs for a hike or a run. In the winter, I enjoy skiing, and we frequent Roundtop Mountain. During the summer, I love to go to the beach and swim.
