Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My interest in medicine comes from my life-long involvement in sports and optimizing personal performance. It was a natural transition to medicine with my interest in the body and how it works. I chose family medicine due to the fact that every day is different and that I get to practice every aspect of medicine.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I enjoy problem-solving and am dedicated to helping my patients solve their medical problems. If Plan A doesn't work, there is always Plans B, C, or D we can try.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
The majority of my time outside of medicine is spent with my wife and children. I am involved in my kids' activities as a coach, volunteer, and supporter. My family also enjoys our annual beach vacation to Ocean City, NJ. I am a life long Philadelphia sports fan having grown up in the Philadelphia area. GO EAGLES ! My brief time not spending time in the office or with my family, is spent exercising and listening to music.

Dr. Eckert is a great provider. Well-informed, knowledgeable, caring, interested in helping with all of your medical needs-physical & mental health. I have said this before in these surveys about him. I hear other people complain about their doctors, so I am very happy to have a good one!
