Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I was drawn to medicine at a young age through family experiences with physicians, as well as athletic injuries I sustained, where I got to interact with orthopedic surgeons and became fascinated by the field.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My goal is to help patients understand what is causing their hip or knee pain and walk through all of the available treatment options. We can then come to a joint decision about the best next steps. I strive to treat every patient as if they were a member of my family and individualize the treatment plan depending on each patient's specific situation and goals.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy outdoor recreation, spending time with family, and traveling.

Dr. Bateman was very thorough and was well versed with my medical records. He seemed very concerned about my safety as I have diabetes and heart disease. He explained how important it is to get my A1C down to an acceptable level for surgery. The wife and I were very impressed with his thoroughness he showed to us in this first visit with him,
