Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I chose a career in medicine because I love science, learning new things, and wanted to use the gifts I was blessed with to help others. I chose general pediatrics because I love interacting with kids and their families.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am a huge nerd: I enjoy all sorts of sci-fi/fantasy novels, TV shows and movies, especially Star Wars. I probably love the superheroes of the DC and Marvel universes as much as your kids do.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy playing video games, board games, reading, and working out at the gym or practicing taekwondo.

Dr. Monk is an amazing and very professional doctor. I trust him with our children completely. He listens and gives thorough medical explanation in ways that is easy to understand. We feel like he truly cares about our children. He is excellent. I truly believe he is one of the very best if not the best pediatrician in your system.

Doctor Monk is definitely the right choice for care for my kids and when we moved out of the area we decided to travel when we needed a Doctor visit because of Doctor monk.

Dr. Monk is so through and explains everything in an easy to understand way. I always try to get all my kids in with him he is amazing!

We love Dr. Monk. Both [name] and [name] are always very excited for their wellness visits to talk to Dr. Monk and tell them how much they have grown over the last year. They always listen to his advice to! I think its very important to have a good relationship with your doctor, and we have that with Dr. Monk. Which is great, and teaches my kids they need to be honest about their health and if they have questions it's okay to ask.

Dr. Monk had great bedside manners. But two times now Dr. Monk has said he would give me recommendations/referral and didn't. The first time was a recommendation for pediatric dentist to help treat my daughter's tongue tie (consider moderate -severe). The second time was a referral to Hershey for her chronic GI issue. I had to send a message two weeks later to ask for a referral.

Dr. Monk is our favorite provider at WellSpan pediatric. He is very friendly and personable and interacts with my children. He is attentive and understanding and makes the appointments go as seamlessly as possible.
