Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

Working in medicine is a dynamic job and I think that is what drew me to it. Technology is continuously advancing with new information available that leads to evolving treatment plans. This pushes you to become a continuous learner and to keep your mind sharp. In addition to that, it is a rewarding career. Watching a patient get healthy and improve their clinical status is what makes the job fulfilling.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Patients should expect to come and feel that all of their concerns are heard and all questions are answered to their satisfaction. They can expect a plan of care individualized to their personal needs and clinical scenario.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

My husband and I enjoy several outdoor activities. We enjoy hiking, biking, playing with our dog, traveling and attending sporting events like baseball and football games.

Was incorrect about one symptom. American Heart Association states angina/chest pain can be triggered by a large meal. Provider said large meal would not affect chest pain.

I have had some difficulty communicating with this provider through the "Portal" and I am not sure if it's the portal's fault or the provider. About 5 months ago I had a prescription that ran out of refills and twice I sent a message as to whether I should have a new prescription placed. I never heard back through the portal. Then with the onset of this appointment, I inquired as to whether I should have blood work done before the appointment and again, never heard back. When I went to the appointment I was told the lab request was in the portal... I still haven't seen it in the portal.
