It may sound very simple, but I chose to become a family doctor because I wanted to help people, especially at a time in their lives when they might feel most vulnerable and in need of help and support. I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them reach their health goals.
I think it is important to treat the whole person and to address physical, emotional and psychosocial aspects of a patient's well-being because it is all important. I truly want to listen to your needs and concerns, and to help develop a plan toward living the happiest and healthiest life possible for you and your family. No matter where you are at in your health journey there is always somewhere to start.
When I am not seeing patients, most of my time is spent with my husband and teenage daughter. I guess some may call me a "dance mom" as a lot of our free time is spent traveling with her to her dance performances and competitions! We also enjoy traveling, hiking, any outdoor activity, visiting New York City, Broadway musicals and the beach. I have five adopted sisters with special needs who live nearby.

Usual excellent service
This was my 1st visit with the physician. I found her to be easy to talk to and appreciated her full attention. Area for improvement is length of wait time to be seen and lack of accurate communication of the physician running behind.
I can't fully express how much finding Dr. Brighter has meant to me. For years, my fear of doctor visits kept me from getting the care I knew I needed. The anxiety, especially around needles and labs, always felt overwhelming. But from the very first appointment, Dr. Brighter changed that. She welcomed me with warmth and kindness, and instead of rushing through my concerns, she really listened. I had a long list, yet she gave me her full attention, never making me feel like I was taking up too much time. In that moment, I felt like I was her only patient - her only priority. What truly touched me was her empathy. She understood my fear and gently guided me through every step of the process, offering reassurance and clear explanations. When it came time to discuss referrals and labs, she made sure I felt safe and supported. For the first time in years, I left a doctor's office feeling hopeful, like I had someone in my corner who genuinely cared about my well-being. Finding Dr. Brighter has been such a gift, and I'm incredibly grateful to have her with me on this journey to better health.
So far so good
Dr. Brighter is caring and a good listener. I actually enjoy my visits with her.
Good
I love seeing Dr Brighter, I appreciate how she makes every patient feel seen and heard and spends a lot of time understanding what we need. However, it is hard because she usually runs behind schedule, so I always have to plan on being at the office for a minimum of an hour and a half from check in time to departure, even for a med check.
Dr. Brighter is a wonderful physician who truly cares. We are very thankful and appreciative of the care she provides our daughters.
Dr. Brighter is always very kind and helpful. I rarely need her services but am very pleased with all interactions I've had with her. She did prescribe meds for high blood pressure on my first visit and has monitored my need to continue them.
Dr Brighter is always great to talk with and very thorough. You can tell she cares about her patients!
