Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I first sensed the calling to become a physician in the fourth grade. I desired to be able to help people's physical needs in a tangible way. As I pursued that career path, my sense of calling was confirmed as I experienced the rewards of seeing others' lives improved through my service to them.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I consider it a privilege to serve patients as their doctor and will do my utmost to give them the best care that I can. I work best utilizing my staff and all the resources within the entire WellSpan system. I view each patient as a unique individual with his or her own specific needs and challenges. I consider it my job to listen to and understand each patient's story, providing them with evidenced-based treatments and therapies, and making sure their experience is both satisfying and helpful to them.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife and six grown children. Some of my hobbies include reading novels out loud with my wife, hiking, camping, and watching a great movie with friends. I am also involved in serving in various ways in my local church.
