Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

What drew me most to medicine is the direct impact that I could have on another human being. As an orthopedic surgeon, I believe that I have a real opportunity to make this difference. Normal musculoskeletal function is innately connected to the human experience. I want to help restore physical function and ultimately provide patients with a sense of normalcy in their lives.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I take a very individualistic approach to practicing medicine. What I enjoy most is getting to know my patients on a more personal level. I see the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership. This relationship gives me the ability to assess goals of treatment, both nonoperative and operative, and devise a plan to help patients achieve their desired quality of life.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

When not seeing patients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, dog, cat, family, and friends. I try to keep an active lifestyle with regular exercise, running, and hiking. My wife and I love to travel and experience new cultures and cuisines. I love all sports, especially my hometown Boston teams.
