Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

The healthcare of children has always been a passion of mine. From a young age, I loved to pretend to be a nurse or doctor, and now, I actually get to live out that dream. Helping children and their families through a serious illness in the hospital is a privilege, and I am very happy to be able to provide that knowledge, comfort and compassion.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I want my patients and families to know that I treat each and every one of you like you were my own. Being a mom, I know that some of the scariest moments of my life happened when my children were sick. Please know that every day I come to work, I am treating your loved one like my own child. I hope you feel comfortable asking me anything at all, and expecting an honest answer in return. I am very straightforward with information, but kind with my delivery. I love to provide education, and value that knowledge that you as the parent bring. After all, who knows your child better than the parent or caregiver? Most importantly, I want you to know how much I appreciate you trusting me to take care of your most precious loved one.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

This one is easy! I love spending time with my children, husband and adorable pug named Nigel. My kids are little, so they keep us very busy with preschool, arts, crafts and laundry. We love to go to the beach and the mountains, and enjoy spending time on almost any body of water. In addition to my family, I am heavily involved in our church where I serve in the kid ministry and worship team as a vocalist. Although I am a terrible baker, I love to cook and enjoy eating new and different foods. And, like most moms might say, I love to take naps!
