My mom died of sudden cardiac death when I was 15 years old. She was 47 years old. Her death was totally unexpected. That's why I chose to pursue a career in medicine--cardiology in particular.
Patients should expect my full and undivided attention when they come to see me. They should expect to receive 100% of my energy, my expertise, my enthusiasm, and my empathy. They should expect to feel welcome and they should leave feeling that in me they have an advocate. They should expect that I value their time and my own. I'm usually running on time or very close to it.
When I'm not seeing patients I like to read and I'm an avid traveler.
