Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I grew up in Erie, PA. My family doctors were Dr. Amacher and Dr. Roos. My mom started being seen in this office when she was a child and then my entire family went to this office for care. Even though Dr. Amacher and Dr. Roos have passed away, my parents are still seen in the same office by a physician who joined the practice. I was able to see the relationships my family doctors built with me and my family and had a strong desire to choose this as a career.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I spend two days each week seeing patients at Thomas Hart Family Practice Center and have practiced at this location since 2003. I also teach family medicine residents in York and in Lebanon. I spend time with the WellSpan Medical Group supporting our offices and physicians in trying to improve the quality of the care we provide across south central Pennsylvania. I am also a physician champion for immunizations.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending time with my two boys and my wife, who is also a family physician. You can usually find me out in my yard gardening and landscaping. I also enjoy running. In the fall you may see me and my entire family at a Penn State football game. I also coach my son's elementary school basketball team.
