Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I am an authentic, confident, science-minded, caring person. Being an anesthesia provider allows me to ease the anxiety for people who must undergo procedures. The medical field is well-suited to me because I am very detail oriented and it is my passion to titrate anesthetics for optimum patient outcome and satisfaction.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I want to connect with each and every one of them on an emotional/mental level to let them know I care deeply that they feel safe and that their needs are heard. It is more than just the technical skills of delivering an anesthetic, which I have been doing since 1998. I want them to feel comforted and safe.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy yoga/tai chi, gardening, and hikes with my husband and malamute, Ranger.
