Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I had a gynecologic problem when I was 7 years old. Since then, I've wanted to help women deal with their female problems.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I have been a nurse practitioner for over 40 years and was one of the first in the state of Pennsylvania. I grew up in Clearfield County and lived in New Orleans for over 30 years, before returning to Pennsylvania. I am a Hurricane Katrina survivor.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I read all kinds of books and help take care of my grandchildren. I also love to shop.

        Ms Hitchcock was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. She was concerned about a few of my symptoms and ordered follow up tests. She just didn't sweep my issues under the rug so I was very happy about that.
