Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have always been a very science-oriented person. I have also always enjoyed challenges and challenging myself. In the medical field, not only do I have those opportunities, but being able to help others made a career in medicine a great fit for me.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I have a laid back personality and don't want my patient interactions to be too stuffy or formal. I want patients to feel comfortable talking to me so we can work together to get them better.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I spend a lot of time with my kids and family. We enjoy a lot of sporting activities. I also love to travel as much as possible.

I had an office appointment with Dr. Nikoloff made for me at the colonoscopy center. I had to have a repeat colonoscopy. Dr. Nikolof came in and asked why I was there. I reminded him about my insufficient prep. He said that there was a misunderstanding and I should have been scheduled for the procedure, not for an office visit. He then sincerely apologized for wasting my time and sat down and told me that I could ask him anything. We had a very good discussion. I am retired. I did not have to miss work or get a babysitter. I was and am so impressed by his thoughtfulness.
