Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My father is a family physician so growing up I was able to experience all that being a physician entailed. I was especially drawn to the relationships my father was able to develop with his patients. Seeing their appreciation for his dedication, medical skills and ability to improve their health seemed to make his long hours worth it. It did not take long for me to realize that being a physician was the profession I wanted.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I have been presented with significant family health issues that produced a large amount of stress in my life. I believe was able to get through these events primarily due to my faith in God and his Son Jesus Christ. Knowing that they were there for me and my family gave me the peace and encouragement to carry on during those difficult times.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy working outdoors and playing golf. I also obtain rest and relaxation by strengthening my relationship with Jesus through study, prayer and small group conversations with other Christians.

Dr. Michael Wilson is the most competent and caring physician I have ever visited. When you leave your visit you are confident you have received the best medical care but equally (or could be more) Importantly that the provider (Dr. Wilson) really cares for you as a person. I cannot say enough how good I feel when I leave his office.
