Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I have always wanted to be in a career where I can make a difference in someone's life. I love the idea of family medicine. I get to see everyone in the same family from newborn babies to their grandparents and great grandparents. Counseling, preventative medicine and women's health are my passions. I get excited when patients want to participate in their own care and I can help them so that we can make healthcare decisions together.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). I went to medical school for the same amount of time as my MD colleagues but I also learned OMT/osteopathic manipulation. The easiest way to explain this is that it is like a mix of chiropractor, physical therapy and massage. I can treat you for your other medical problems but also have skills to perform manual diagnosis with my hands and offer other types of adjustment/treatment. I am always happy to discuss what types of OMT are appropriate for your care in addition to managing many other medical conditions.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I love to spend time with my family and my dogs. I am passionate about animal rescues. Harry Potter books are my favorite to read and re-read. You will often find me drinking coffee throughout the day on my days off.
