Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

Growing up in Nepal, my mother instilled in me that education was the only way to break away from societal expectations of a woman. In my naïve mind as a child, becoming a doctor was the answer. The idea flourished over the years as my interest in various aspects of medicine grew and the intricacies of the human body continued to amaze me. I feel privileged to have been able to pursue a path that allows me to be part of a woman's journey through adolescence, pregnancy, pre- and post-menopausal years. I am honored to be part of the happy and vulnerable moments of my patients' lives.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I truly believe in having my patients feel that they are in charge of their own health. My job is to educate them and help them make decisions that are most suitable for them.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I like to spend time with my family, friends and dog. I thrive on staying active at the gym or going on long hikes. One of my biggest goals in life is to explore as much of the world as possible and whenever given the opportunity I am off to venture into a new place. I am passionate about food and I am fortunate to be surrounded by many good cooks in my family, including my dear husband.
