Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I find my work challenging, stimulating and deeply fulfilling. As an Emergency Department physician, I am fortunate to be able to see many different people, from newborns to centenarians. I enjoy working in a brisk, fast-paced environment with co-workers who focus on collaborative teamwork.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I grew up in Gettysburg, attending high school at Gettysburg High School. Just like a lot of local graduates, I swore I would not return to the area after college. After attending college, medical school and residency in various places, I had a change in the way I thought about our community. After spending time in a big city, I realized that strong community connections are important. After having children, this realization was even more solidified. I am thankful to live in a community that values hard work, safety and education.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

My most enjoyable moments outside of work are spending time with my three active kids. I enjoy supporting them in all of their athletic endeavors, which include tennis, soccer and swimming. We love to travel together. In recent years we have traveled to Europe, Costa Rica, Yosemite and Banff, Canada. We are always looking forward to our next traveling adventure. Lastly, I must mention our beloved Bernedoodle puppy, Holly, who is a bundle of crazy hair and cuteness!
