Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I have always wanted to be a pediatrician. For years when I was growing up in Florida, I used to volunteer on the pediatrics floor of our local hospital on the weekends and over the summer. I would spend my days playing with the babies, reading to the children or playing games. When I went to medical school, my interests were cemented during my pediatric rotations.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I believe that being a pediatrician is the best job in the world. Watching my patients grow up into responsible teens and productive members of society is truly remarkable. I practice evidence-based medicine and follow guidelines put forth by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I volunteer at my children's school and take part in various community service activities around Lancaster (mainly focused on helping underserved children and their families). I am also on the Board of Trustees of Lancaster Country Day School, as well as the Horizons Program at Lancaster Country Day.
My family and I love to travel. I also spend a great deal of time traveling with our children to their tennis matches and various school-related activities.
