Reflecting & Connecting - Mt. Gretna

Do you struggle with managing unhelpful emotions? Is it difficult to self-reflect and find personal values? Are you struggling with finding appropriate coping skills? The "Reflecting and Connecting" Group provides participants the opportunity to manage unhelpful emotions and process them appropriately. Group provides the opportunity to identify personal values. Participants use multiple techniques of self-reflection as well. Members are able to learn effective communication skills throughout the group. Learning effective coping skills is a main goal of the group which will be beneficial for all attendants. Group sessions will focus on: 

  • Connecting with others 
  • Managing unhelpful emotions, symptoms, or situations 
  • Effective communication techniques 
  • Identifying personal values 
  • Self-reflection 
  • Developing a range of healthy coping skills and tools for changing behaviors 
  • Relationship effectiveness 

Interested participants cannot have active psychosis, active addiction, or active SI/HI symptoms. Due to group requirements, new participants may be invited to meet with a group leader individually before starting group sessions.

Instructions

This group meets on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with group leader Timothy Scott, LPC. While all efforts will be made to assist you in entering a group as quickly as possible, you may need to be temporarily added to a waitlist.
