Processing Through Transitions - Isabel Drive

Description

Do you feel that as you're getting older, you're becoming less social? Do you feel you need additional support as you continue to age? Processing Through Transitions group can help. This group focuses on processing the perceived social isolation resulting from the transitions of life. It is not uncommon for older individuals to feel lost and feel a lack of support. While in group, group members have the ability to bond over shared experiences and discuss their own attitudes about their transition of life. This group can also help clients manage their emotions during their difficult transition while also recognizing new joys and supports brought to the group by other members.

Group members must have the ability to communicate effectively in a group format. Group members cannot have active psychosis, active addiction, or active SI/HI symptoms. Individual therapy is recommended, but not required. New participants may be invited to meet with a group leader individually before starting group sessions.

Current Philhaven patients should talk to their provider. For new Philhaven patients, please call (717) 851-1375 or (800) 459-7497.
