Welcome to Our Residency

The WellSpan Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program is designed to provide advanced clinical training for licensed physical therapists seeking specialization in orthopedic and manual therapy practice. This one-year, full-time residency integrates didactic learning, mentorship, research, and hands-on patient care within WellSpan’s comprehensive rehabilitation network.

Residents will gain expertise in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and evidence-based practice, while leveraging a foundational approach in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT) to prepare them for Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) and leadership in the field.

Location	WellSpan Rehabilitation Clinics across Central PA & Northern MD

Didactic Learning	Online and in-person coursework via AOPT & McKenzie MDT
Research & Teaching	Scholarly projects, case studies, and clinical education presentations
Eligibility	Licensed physical therapists (or eligible for licensure in PA)
